depending if you took or count the writing. Schools normally just measure the critical reading score and math score which is based on a scale of 0 - 1600, if your score is not counting writing, that is a damn good score. 1200/1600 you do the math. if the writing is counted then it is graded on a scale out of 2400. so if your score was including the writing portion, sorry that's like 50%. 1200/2400. hope that works out for you!

Depends what you're counting. 1200/1600 is a decent score, average 600 per section. 1200/2400 is a bad score, average 400 per section. The average for each section among test-takers is 500.

It means this person would not get into a university. Even a 1200 out of 1600 is pretty blegh already and wouldn't get you into an Ivy League, but 1200 out of 2400? That is REALLY sad.

That would actually be a score of 1280 and that would be below the national average.
