If you're there from March to Aug go and watch a game of football at Footy Park.
There's a game every week and the crowd are very vocal. Pretend you barrack for the local team - if you want to get out alive.

Museum, Glenelg Beach, Central markets, Adelaide Zoo, jump on a train at the Adelaide train station adjacent the casino and see where it takes you, Norwood Parade, Rundle Street (very eclectic) there's lots more. If you want to go further there's Hahndorf in the hills, Monarto Zoo out near Murray Bridge, the Barossa Valley for the wineries.

We visited Adelaide in November and here are some of the things we did
The big Rocking Horse = Gumeracha
Chocolate factory in Lobethal
Some game place with 2 water slides in Glenelg
Harhndof (german town)
It was a very relaxed visit for us, and as you can see, we mostly stuck to the Hills....

Harndorf Village is in the hills out of Adelaide and is fantastic.
We had a hire car so no problem to get there.
Barossa Valley is beautiful and you can sample wines which is a bonus.
Glenelg beach is beautiful too

I enjoyed the beaches when I was there last June...Beautiful white sandy beach...and the wineries...and the local wildlife park was interesting. I also went to a restaurant for desert that was quaint and very nice called Patricias. It is in Port Noarlunga. Have a wonderful trip! Its a beautiful area...also go to Victor Island...very nice.

Visit the old goal. Fascinating view of history, with exhibits, tour, and audio. Also, the museum at the University on North Terrace.
For the shopaholics, it is hard to beat Rundle Mall. The train to Glenelg is fun.

You definately have to drive out to the wine country and see all the beautiful vineyards and all the farms like where McLeods Daughters is filmed.

"The city of churches". Plenty of them for you to see.
Us Aussies don't call Adelaide "the a$$hole of Australia" for no good reason ;-)
