Buy an external hard drive. As others said you'll have more space for your applications and files, plus you can back up one hard drive to the other.

That is always a good practice to get into the habit of doing in case one of the hard drives gets damaged. Put your operating system on both - you then have the other one to start up your MacBook and you won't lose any files and maybe repair the faulty one with a good repair program like DiskWarrior.

There are some good external hard drives that let you backup with just the push of a button. Seagate offers one and probably other manufacturers too.

Depends alot on how you use the computer. If you're not running out of space, don't worry. Though I'd buy an external anyway to provide a way to have regular backups. I like externals in general because it's easy to share the data with other computers, obviously not very practical if you're always on the move.

If you bought a used mac and don't have the OS disks, you probably won't want to replace the internal.

External HD. then you can have the original 80 + the 160 external...gets you more space for your stuff.

I'd get an external...it'll be slower, but cheaper.

But if you're doing video or audio, get the internal.
