i have a mac laptop, and lately i have been keeping it on and havent been turning it off, it goes on sleep, n i mean we do that with our pc, but do u think or like kno if this will screw my laptop up somehow?

Well, I don't know about Macs but I do know about laptops in general. If you leave it on for too long, the device could overheat and you could have a potential fire breaking out.
Generally, it's not a wise idea to leave any device on for too long. It not only gets too hot but the heat also wears down the parts more quickly.

I always keep my laptop on standby/hibernation when not in use. Keeping it on can make the hard drive more prone to failure (IE, the writer head hitting the disk, causing data loss and rendering the computer useless) The usual life of a laptop is 3-4 yrs (before the head crashes), but standby and hibernation will prolong the life.

With a Mac, it is a wise idea to shut down when not using it.
Mac processors, especially in laptops, still run even when the computer is in sleep mode. They tend to overheat a little easier than other processors, for some reason.
Yes, in the long term it will affect your laptop.

Nope, leave it on or off, it doesn't matter as long as the fan works and keeps cooling it down.
I would suggest you put a chill pad under the laptop though, just to be sure.

It shouldn't cause permanent damage. Keeping it on, though...temporarily slows the system down. You should turn it off. To deal with the temporary drop in performance, you would need to leave the system off for a half-hour or so to cool down.

no, your laptop will not be messed up in anyway, but i suggest turning it off every few days to restore the RAM and such

yeh it cud prolly burn the motor up er if u keep ur battery on charge it might get to hot and explode..but idk they do get very hot at times
