i know it's normal to have blood clots during your period, but what about in between? for a few days in between my periods i get blood clots. sometimes they are little and sometimes they can be the size of a quarter. other times its just discharge streaked with blood. i've been to the doctor about this and the only thing they found was a heart shaped uterus. no explanation for the bleeding/clots. i have a pap test every year, which has always come back normal. what could it be? it's freaking me out!

You need to get to the doctor ASAP... it sounds like you might have a polyp or are miscarrying.

I get that too. I bleed inbetween periods and get clots sometimes. Mine is due to a hormone imbalance

It could be a little bit of breakthrough bleeding...it could be endometriosis...all sorts of things.

Are you sexually active? You could be "tearing" inside after sex because of improper lubrication, etc...and the built up blood discharges as it can.

I'd get a 2nd opinion just to be sure.
