My face is really dry and it peels a lot- like little flakes. I've tried so many moisturizers but none of them work... I can't use cover up because it flakes. I'm thinking of getting a chemical peel, thats how bad it is. But thats not what I'm writing this about. I was wondering if any of you guys know any natural treatments and any good cover ups that wont flake. Thanks.

Dry skin is a big thing. One of the problem is because we wash in chlorinated water everyday. Chlorine is a bleaching agent and it strips away the natural skin oil. All the cream and lotion we put on is not the same and it is a after application. I do have dry skin myself and I use shower filter. It really help is you case is same as mine. Use shower filter and also apply the cream to see it that works. I myself uses shower filter and finds it to work for me, but still I use cream.

Exfoliation helps, but make sure to use a gentle one. Cetaphil has great products for people with severely dry skin, sensitive skin, I think even oily skin. It's pricey, but it helps me. The winter isn't helping much. Also, drink plenty of water. Try a humidifier where you sleep.
