if you have a guy who is your friend, but you are not allowed to tell them you love them or they automatically assume it is romantic. you can't even tell them you are glad they are in your life or they again assume it is romantic.

Some guys freak out easily. My guy friends are fine with me telling them I love them. Hell, they want me to tell them how much I love/appriciate them everyday. It depends on your relationship with the guy, if he`s a close friend he`ll probably know that when you say "I have undying love for you" you`re saying that in a joking-friendly way. If he`s not so close he`ll freak out and try avoiding you or something. If anything start by telling them you love them in a non-sexual/friendly way. Whatever makes them realise you don`t love them romantically.

Maybe they're paranoid? I've always told my guy friends how much I love them and appreciate them, but they know I mean it in a friendly way. I guess you should tell your friend you love them in a platonic way, lol.

umm i always tell my guy friends that i love them and they say it back without assuming its anything romantic........i even say it 2 my female friends and they always say it back.......maybe its just a habit but my bf says it 2 all of his friends (male and female) and they say it back so i really dont see why your guy friends would be any different

you can. who said you couldn't? the only thing that i know is that some friends that decide to become lovers destroy their friendship and relationship because they are truly not meant to be together on that level. other than that i don't know. you can love him as a friend.
