The best information I ever read on quality was Robert M Pirsig's "Lila".
A great book but a realy hard read just like his earlir book "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance".
Quality is not an easy thing to define in the abstract.
Also for business purposes you should look up Six Sigma any book on Six Sigma methods would defing all of those terms

I can't help you very much, but there is an interesting book on the question called "Zen And The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" if you have a couple of weeks before you need your answer.
