I know from experience that you can with Nextel if that is how you have it set up. You can choose it or block it through the website only.

With my cell phone provider I can check my messages online, through their website. I guess someone else could do the same if they had my access code and password.

not unless she works for your cell phone company, or the person your are msging is receiving them on a computer, and she knows who they are.
