No - the rumours that Captain Pugwash was gay are just an urban myth. There really was no Seaman Staines, Roger the Cabin Boy, etc.

Having served on the Black pig during the early 70's i can neither confirm or deny any rumours about Captain Pugwash. However his shiit was dented.
