I have some college, about three years of animation and graphic design but never finished due to my job. I am kinda nervous about finding decent work out there. My girlfriend and i have friends that recently moved out there with no jobs and found them relatively easily, they live in Ocean Beach (lucky). Whats the best way to find a good job before moving?

With your skills I would think you won't have much of a problem finding a good job in San Diego. But I would post a resume on Monster.com or Dice.com and set up a job search agent with these tools to let them tell you when there are job opening in the San Diego area. They may be willing to pay your relocation expenses if you get the job. And once you find the job, then ask where people would recommend you live based on where the job site is (or ask your new employer!).

I suspect you will find a good job in the SorrentoMesa area. A good place to look for housing woul dbe in Mira Mesa then. Lots of shops, plenty of houses and apartments for rent, and the commute would be ideal. It's also centerally located to getting to activities in the rest of the city and while traffic isn't the best at rush hour, the rest of the time it can be an easy commute.

asking people around to see if they know any place that would give you a decent job offer or if you know any phone numbers that will give you a job there you should defintely ask them about it
