Well if you like the guy that likes you, and hes a nice, cute guy that could make you happy then yes!
But just using him to show your real crush your not a little kid is kinda mean.. If you wanna show him your're not a little kid, be mature around him and makes him like you for you and not just because you dated some guy..

I think that if you feel you may need to date someone to prove to another person you're "not a little kid," then you are a little kid. Date someone because you like them. Do NOT use people to prove a point or get back at someone. That in itself should show your maturity.

Dating one guy to get a reaction out of another guy (in other words using and playing with one's emotions)...
is pretty cruel and "little kid" like, don't you think? Aren't there any other ways you can think of to show how grown up you are?

No--it's not fair to this guy who wants to date you NOW. Don't use him to get the attention of guy #2.
If you want to go out with him because you think the guy is nice, date him.
If you want to go out with him for the sole purpose of gaining the attention of guy #2, think again. He's going to have ZERO respect for you.
If you're not a little kid, you won't play games with dating guys you aren't really interested in.

No, that's mean to lead the other guy on. It doesn't show him that you're not a little kid, it just shows him you're trying to make him jealous.

You can date people without making a committment to them. If your reason is that he likes you, and maybe you'll find you like him and/or just have a good time, that's fine.
If your only reason is to prove something to someone else, then maybe you should put more thought into it.

No toying wih one person's emotions just to prove something to someone else is morale wrong and you will most likley make an enemy in the process.
