I have over 1,000 hamster pups a year and occassionally I have a pup that squeaks when I pick it up. They will grow out of it. It is just because the hamster is young and still a bit scared. Some hamsters are done with the squeaking when being held in a few days though I had one that did it for six months. I haven't had a squeaker bite me so don't be scared, just patient.

Your hamster is saying "leave me alone". Try to pick up the hamster from underneath and don't squeeze the poor creature. 15 hamsters is a lot.

Could be in pain. I'd advise vet, but I also know that it's not great fun to pay a 100+ vet bill for a pet that cost less than $50 including supplies.

pick it up anyhow my male rat does the same thing. it's an objection to being picked up but if you do it anyhow they will get used to it. think about this they generally think of anything bigger then them as a preditor.
