Okay, well, I'm working on a project about Ellis Island, and my mom's friend who does editing compiled a DVD of footage of Ellis Island.
I can play the DVD fine on my computer, but I'm wondering if there is a way to save it onto my computer because I'm making a documentary, and I need the footage on my computer.

well if the dvd is not copy righted you can just copy past the vob files from the disc to your hard drive, or get a program that can convert it to an avi file then you can edit and cut parts of the file, google "dvd to avi" and you should find a couple programs that can do that.
