Reason 1: High unemployment and high debt in Germany caused people to feel frustrated. It was easy to blame Jews, Gypsies and other "undesirables".

Reason 2: A man who was seen as charasmatic got the opportunity to raise to the top of the NSDAP (the Nationalist Party of the Nazi's) and "charm" normal Germans in believing that he could change the high unemployment and high debt that was wearing Germany down.

Germany was defeated in World War I, and had some of its territories taken in a treaty called the treaty of Versailles. When the Nazi party came to power in Germany, they fueled anger at the injustice of Versailles and promoted the idea that Germany was destined to become a great empire again, after the Holy Roman Empire empire and the pre-war Prussian empire, thats why they called their expansionist project 'the 3rd reich (reich=empire)'.
