Reason 1: High unemployment and high debt in Germany caused people to feel frustrated. It was easy to blame Jews, Gypsies and other "undesirables".

Reason 2: A man who was seen as charasmatic got the opportunity to raise to the top of the NSDAP (the Nationalist Party of the Nazi's) and "charm" normal Germans in believing that he could change the high unemployment and high debt that was wearing Germany down.

Hard to say in a nutshell:
Germany was defeated in World War I, and had some of its territories taken in a treaty called the treaty of Versailles. When the Nazi party came to power in Germany, they fueled anger at the injustice of Versailles and promoted the idea that Germany was destined to become a great empire again, after the Holy Roman Empire empire and the pre-war Prussian empire, thats why they called their expansionist project 'the 3rd reich (reich=empire)'. Expansionism and colonialism were practised by many nations both in the 19th century and early twentieth century. It fitted in with general ideas about the need for a species to gain more space to survive. The idea of the 'total war'
was a notion expounded by the Nazis in which all resources of the state are subservient to the war effort. This is also a way of exercising total control over the citizens of a state and justifying the need to sacrifice democratic values to the need of defence.

Germany and Japan felt they missed out on colonialism and the countries that didn't looked down their noses at the rest of the world. Hitler saw Englands culture , respect and colonies around the globe and wanted to give it a try.
The economics and unemployment were excuses to do what they really planned to do, grab land and head straight for the bank and get the gold of tha country. It was about gold and colonies.

There are many reasons of the cause of WW2. One reason was about Hitler coming to power. He belived Germans were the prominent race and so he went to extermination. He especially hated the Jews. He rounded them up and killed them. America was pulled in because Germany was going to invade. He were also attacked at Pearl Harbor because we cut off our supply of oil to Japan.
