by being anaerobic, they dont have to carry around mitochondria, so the space that would normally be taken up by a nucleus and mitochondria, among other organelles, can be used by RBC to transport oxygen. And like said before, so they dont use the oxygen that they are carrying...

This is news to me that red blood cells are anaerobic.

You want your red blood cells to CARRY oxygen - not consume oxygen!
