The DS is Nintendo's latest handheld system. Contrary to popular belief "DS" actually stands for "Developer's System" due to the fact that when the system was being developed the selling point was to use the system's touch screen to win over second and third party companies to create games for it. The DS and it's smaller, brighter-screened counterpart the DS Lite have two screens and have graphics better than the N64. In my opinion, the DS has a much better selection of games than it's competitor the Sony PSP. You can find a DS Lite for about $130 nowadays. I hope this helps!

It is a video game system from nintendo. It comes it two types Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS.Lite. It has two screens the top one is mostly for menus in games and the bottom is a touch screen were most of the game is played. It has a D-pad, volume and power switches on sides, pen stylis holder ( used for the touch screen), four buttons, and left and right bumpers. It has good graphics but not as good as the sony playstation portable. It is an amazing system and I recremend it to children and adults. The Nintendo DS is bulky, heavy, and has dim screens unlike the Nintendo DS.Lite which I recremend.

DS stands for Dual Screen. This is the next generation of the Nintendo Game Boy. The bottom screen is touch sensitive, which rocks, and there's another screen above that. It's clamshell and it's like a wide cell phone. But of course doesn't make or receive calls.. I'm just talking about the shape.
The DS plays Game Boy Advance games, too. You love it. I'm going to start playing right now.
Get the DS lite if you can.
P.S. goes online at your local McDonalds or on your Wi-Fi network!
P.P.S. I rule you!

a nintendo handheld system that u must own hehe...it has two screens, lower one is a touch screen and top one is normal...the touch screen can get really fun...(i have a game called Trauma Center where u opperate on people with the stylus..not as boring as it sounds)...what's really good about the DS is that some games, you can play multiplayer (without the wires) and only one person needs to have the game...like new super mario brothers for example...and if u have a wireless router you can play against people across the world...(in the new pokemon you can battle and trade monsters with people all over the world...i am too old for pokemon though hehe)...it's a definate must get if u ask me

its a really awesome handheld game system that you use a stylus for. the bottom screen is a touch screen (use stylus) and the top is just another screen for just another view for the game you are playing. but there is a ds lite now. It is thinner, lighter, and it has a brighter screen. the lite is better. hope this helped!
