Most have mentioned the EVP and that is fine. The EVP will pick up on sounds that normally cannot be heard by human ears. With EVPs the listener is often left to play translator to inaudible groans. Basically, they fill in the missing pieces. None have mentioned the differences in ghost behavior. You have an intelligent haunt and the ghost will interact with you and is more spontaneous in nature. They are often associated with some poltergeist behavior, but not always. You have the repeater that plays like a movie and there is no interaction. The building or area will trap psychic energy and paranormal behavior may be triggered by time of day, day of year and there are definite patterns. Then you have the demonic, not to be confused with worldly spirits are dangerous. Typically, they drain you of psychic energy and are detrimental to spiritual health.

Via- EVP; Electrical Voice Phenomena.
- Go to some place you think is HAUNTED.
- Walk around with a Recording device, asking it questions.
- When you are done with walking around asking questions, play it back, you might have picked-up another voice answering your question, they responded immediately after you speak. it has to do something with the way the spirit(s) are manupilating the sound waves, they are using your sound waves from speaking and walking to answer.

their is something called evp, or electronic voice phenomena. that is where someone takes a recording tape and records the "ghosts" voice on tape. im not sure if your asking if ghosts are speaking directly to you, that could happen too. but indirectly, using the tape recorder as a bridge sounds more likely.

Although many have answered correctly with EVP or electronic voice phenomena, the best answer will probably go to ~angel~ just because "brandy " is another one of her minions that she uses to help her cheat... I don't think she is an alias, because "brandy” has the ability to form complete sentences, and is actually intelligent...unlike ~angel~'s other alias' like "belle l" and "david" go ahead check it out...

Well on more then one occasion years ago I heard a cat we had lost months before, so they can at least Meow.
As that is cat words, I would assume human words would work as well...
