If a bomb were to be dropped in the San Andreas Fault, would the result be a massive earthquake?

Probably not, unless one could identify an area that was ready to experience an earthquake. If you could do that, you could make a lot of money warning people of impending diasters and wouldn't need to be planting bombs anywhere.
