the amount of frets really doesnt matter
because your not really going to hit the higher pitched
ones at the very base...
you should get a cheap one that your comfortable
with so you can try it out and see if you like it.

22 or 24 just depends on witch you like better im using a 26 its special made but for begginer id go 22
