I went to the doctor yesterday, and he told me I weigh 68 pounds, at 5"3, so I grew 3 inches, and lost 2 pounds. He told me I need to gain weight, but I gained 2 pounds today, so now I am 70 pounds, at 5"3, and I wanted to know how I can lose weight, because, believe it or not, I have a huge belly, and i want to lose my belly. My friends say I am too skinny, and that my ribs and bones are sticking out, but I know they are lying, because whenever I look in the mirror, all I see is a big fat belly.
So, I wanted to know how I can lose weight.
By the way, I am 14 years old.

Your weight should be at LEAST 110lbs. That is normal. If you lose anymore weight, you could risk losing your period and never being able to have children. I weigh about 110lbs and I used to think I was fat. My mom took me to the doctor and he told me the risks of being too skinny. Please gain some weight. I don't mean eat junk food all the time. You should eat healthy and work out so that you can gain more muscle. YOU ARE NOT FAT!

I am 5'3 weigh 115 lbs and my doctor wants ME to gain weight! Honey you are 14, your body is still developing. I doubt that you have a huge belly. You are too critical of yourself. Talk to a councellor, a teacher or you doctor about these insecurities. You are not alone.
I've been there!

Go see a doctor. You are way too underweight for your age and height. You should weigh about 100 lbs.

Or, do you want to be dead before you're 18?

See a doctor, girl! You are Anorexic.

The only way to lose your belly is by EXERCISE! Do situps and ab crunches.

i think that it's about time for you to see a therapist. you have a scured self image, you dont see what other people see and you think your fat when you are SO not. you are pre disposed to eating disorders and illness. if you are looking for a HEALTHY way to TONE try yoga, it's the best in the book for all round health and fitness, no matter how old you are. good luck

if you are 5'3" and only weigh 70 pounds that means that you are really skinny, you should not lose more weight, just do some sit ups and strengthen your abs, my sister is 4'7" and 76 pounds and she is so skinny, so I can only imagine how skinny you are

You don't need to lose weight, you need a therapist. At your height even 70lb is dangerously thin. The problem isn't your weight, it's your false perception of yourself.

you are too skinny look at your body mass index: which is your ratio of height to weight. your BMI is 12.3 this puts you as extremely underweight, you are at risk for having no periods and could possibly have several of your internal organs shut down on you.

you sound like you are sufferin from body dysmorphic disorder.
you think you are fat but you are NOT. please get help. this kind of disorder WILL kill you if you don't get help.

You are dangerously underweight, and from the sounds of it are suffering from body dismorphia, where you have an unrealistic perception of your appearance. Listen to your friends on draw on the support of them and your family to get you the help you need before you become seriously ill. Please get help.

start working out, gain muscle... it will make your so called fat belly go away and muscle weighs more then fat so you will gain weight.
