I have WindowsXP:
Go to start, and look for your internet connections. Then you click the one you are using. A window should pop up with ip address, and other information about your modem. There should be a tab at the bottom that says "settings" and you need to click it to find some information. You're modems number should be somewhere on there and you need to type it into INTERNET EXPLORER. You MUST use internet explorer. Somewhere along those steps you should see a wep key.

If you bought the Nintendo Wifi USB, on your DS game that has Wifi play. Go too Wifi settings, next choose Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings. Then the menu with the tree connection boxes should come up. Look below them for the box that says Connect to you Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector. Choose that, and read the instructions. After you press ok a pop-up should show up on your computer screen. It should say like choose the DS system you woul dlik eto use or something like that. And then after you choose your DS system then it should work online. The reason it did'nt work for you was because since you have the Nintendo Wifi USB, you did'nt have to use a WEP key, that's only if your using a wireless router. I hope this helps.

You will need to login to your router by going to 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. A password dialog will come up, put in your router password. For most if you didn't set it yet, the user is blank, and the password is "admin" without the punctuation.

Then depending on your router software you should have a tab for your WEP key. You can either retrieve your key from there, or turn it off completely so wireless devices don't need a key (not suggested).

WEP is your wireless network security code. you got it when you set it up initially. there should be a way to go through your computer to get it - maybe someone else can help on that one.
