How do you actually download music to a mp3 player?

I have a craig mp3 player with practically no instructions. After i hook it to my computer, how do i actually download music.

the computer says the device is connected but the player says it's not.

i would use windows media player.... if your player is compatible. Open up windows media and click on the sync tab... then you can select the connected device and drag songs onto it. ok i hope it works :)
