I'm just wanting to exchange ringtones...games...etc. w/ other bluetooth compatible cell phones and am wondering if i need a cable or anything or can i just do it wirelessly? thanks.

it is all wireless...however, make sure the items you transfer are not protected...if they are they will not play or run.

U din mentioned which cellphone model U have..

If it have a Bluetooth2.0, it's compatible with any other bluetooth enabled mobilephone or laptops/bluetooth enabled PCs.

Also U can rely on Infrared but only with small sized files.

Both r wireless hence no need for any wire or stuffs.

couple of things - if you have verizon -forget it. there is a profile called OBEX (object exchange) that Vzw disables so you have to buy ringtones from them. most other services allow obex - and as long as your computer has bluetooth as well - exchange away. be aware though most phones have unique file types - check out www.howardforums.com for tips on your specific phone. good luck!
