What happened to Gavin DeGraw, the singer?

He had a couple hits, and now he seems to have disappeared from the charts completely. Is he recording anything new?

According to the artist's official site, he returned to the studio on September 1, 2006 to begin recording his next album. Rumours say that the new album will be released in April 2007.

I think he did a tour overseas and that takes up a lot of time.
