Until recently, they've never been given the chance... They've been discriminated, set aside, and at some points even treated no different than animals. Even today, A man makes more than a woman for the exact same job. We're slowly building towards equality as a whole but it's unlikely to ever be fully equal among the two genders... I'm afraid that it's just something we'll have to live with.

The human race could not continue if babies weren't being born.
And you know you're completely wrong about women contributing so little to society. There are many professional women out there. There are almost no jobs that a woman can't do that a man could.
Being a mom is also something to be proud of and a real job too. Good moms who instill good values, morals and ethics in their children do a lot to better the world.
It is sad that you don't realize this.

we women have always contributed to our society, but for so long, we have been ignored. it has always been a mans world. women didn't used to even be allowed to vote. we have come a long way since then. women are now treated as equals (for the most part). the more we become acknowledged for the things we do, and have done in the past, the more you'll see of us in history books. maybe some of the things we have read about some man contributing in older history, was actually done by a woman, whose man took the credit. i think that may be where the saying came from. "behind every good man, is a woman."

I'm not sure if you are just trying to get a rise out of someone or you are ignorant. There have been many women who have contributed to society. Including Betsy Ross, Rosa Parks, Collette King, Emily Dickenson, Eleanor Roosevelt, Abigail Adams, Maya Angelou, Susan B. Anthony, Martha Graham, Patience Lowell Wright, Connie Chung, etc.
Jane Addams (1860-1935) - Social Activist, founder of Hull House, charter member of the NAACP, Nobel Peace Prize winner and labor union organizer.
Ida B. Wells Barnett (1862-1931) - African-American educator, newspaperwoman, anti-lynching campaigner, founder NAACP.
Clara Barton (1821-1912) - Civil War nurse, founder of the American Red Cross.

Because in the past generations, women, had to take care of the kids and run the household while men provided for the family. Just recently, did they have the opportunity to work and we are coming a long way.!. That's at a faster rate than men.
As for the second question, you must be gay, if not, where do you live?hahaa
Women are the most aesthetically pleasing creatures on earth. That's why men have a hard time saying "No" to women and can't help but "salute" them when they see them.

i guess people like you don't know what it feels like to be female... to be tolerant of all things chauvinistic that ppl like you say, let alone think.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss can help to heal a broken heart.
Women come in all sizes, in all colors and shapes. They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you. The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning! They bring joy and hope. They have compassion and ideals. They give moral support to their family and friends. Women have vital things to say and everything to give.
As for you... you suck ****.

Have you ever heard the saying
"Behind every great man, stands a great woman"
or better yet
"Do you want to talk to the man in charge, or the woman that knows what is going on?"
Women have made great contributions to society, only in recent years have we seen what women have contributed to society because they were repressed for so long.

If not for WOMAN, this world would not be what it is today. If not for WOMAN, there would be no "great" men. In fact, if not for WOMAN, there would be no HUMAN(s).
Still believe woman has contributed so little to our society, culture, and civilization?

Man... you sound really uneducated when you speak like that. Have you ever heard of the expendability of men? Have you ever seen as many roosters on a farm as there are chickens.... you only need one cock on a farm to have more chickens....I think you had better rethink your reasoning man... or at least finish elementary school before making a comment like that... you are really immature. Don't ask stupid questions.
