Sure, but it's the right kind of wrong.
I am a 34 year old heterosexual male, and think Major Motoko Kusanagi is smoking hot. Everything a miltary veteran would ever want. Face it all you men out there. There is nothing more sexy than a woman who can kick your ***. And Motoko can kick my *** any day of the week.

I can kinda see how it can happen; people can become attached because the personality traits of the characters might be appealing. Plenty of people develop crushes on celebrities but only because of what they look like and what they know of them (not really knowing how they truly are as people). It's still strange, though, considering that they are characters that are DRAWN. One has to realize that those characters are not real; they are simply an immense number of drawings combined with a person behind the scenes reading lines. I'm sorry if I burst any bubbles, but I'm just being realistic. I don't have crushes on anime characters or celebrities because of this (there's no use becoming attached to a fantasy). There are a few female celebrities that I find very attractive, but that's as far as it goes.

No that is not wrong at all. Hah Im in love with like 20 anime characters. Some people think it is crazy and wierd, but its totally not. And its not like I can help it LOL =D

I don't think it's "wrong" per se. If this "love" you speak of starts getting in the way of your normal everyday functions with family and friends, or at work, then maybe you should seek help.
If not, then it's perfectly normal.
My anime "love" right now would be Kuchiki Byakuya. Behind that cold, and emotionless exterior lies a sexual beast, lemme tell ya!

i mean if you love that character as one of you favorites out of all the others then that's fine but love-love that's crazy. get a real man or woman which ever you prefer besides anime characters can't love you back, they're fictional...

Ahh No!!! dude I was in love with a drawing of beauty and the beast (belle) for a long time. The real trick is to find the person who resembles the cartoon in real life. I did that, and now I must say I complete my Beauty and the beast fantasy. Of course I am the beast, harry too.
