It doesn't hurt! the only thing is the "click" of the ear thingy. it doesn't hurt, just don't worry, or concentrate on it. what my friends used to say " just wiggle your toes, and by the time you can wiggle each one individually, it will be over" it doesn't hurt, get it done at claires or something (they do it 4 free!)

Ear piercing will only hurt and sting for almost a second when getting it done, but then you have to use that bottle of cleaner they give you after to keep it clean and not infected. It feels like a little needle or thorn going through your ear, but it's worth it because there are so many cute earrings out there! But to make the pain go away at first, try to get your piercing done at a place that has a needle-gun, not a regular needle. Trust me, needle-guns are so much faster and less painless than the needle! Good luck!

I'm gonna be honest with you.... piercing your ears doesn't hurt a bit. As a matter of fact I was in your shoes about 6 months ago till a couple of my friends decided to chill w/ me while I got my ears pierced. The pain will last no more than 1 full second, then you'll be laughing at yourself for over reacting.TRUST ME!!!!! Oh and by the way I got it done @ the mall w/ a gun, it's instantaneous. Good Luck.

It does hurt, but not too much. It's like a really hard pinch that doesn't stop for awhile, but then it's okay. It's not like a stub your little toe on a brick sort of pain, either-- the toe hurts worse!!! Just be sure to keep your ears cleaned with the solution and to turn the studs. It aches a little too. I was afraid to have mine done but I'm so glad I did!

But if you want to get your ears pierced, do it because YOU want to do it and not because someone else wants you to do it or you feel you have to because all your friends have pierced ears.

I got my ears pierced when I was 5 or 6. It hurt, but for such a short length of time that I don't think I even cried. My mom took me to Sears or Penney's or some place like that. Now this was like 1985, but the thing I remember not being crazy about was the earring itself. The one they pierced with had a pointy end (obviously necessary to do the job!), and it was kind of irritating to my neck. The piercing itself doesn't hurt too bad.

well, i think you should really get them piered. and it doesn't hurt that much, just like a sharp pain for like one second (and then it will feel weird all day after that). it won't hurt all day, but if your ears are sensitive, that they might hurt more. you could just take advil or motrin or something like that if it does start to hurt. and i suggest getting them pierced with gold earrings if you can, because some people are allergic to silver earrings. hope i helped! oh yeah, definitely get them done at claire's.

If you get it done properly, it's not painful at all. Using the hand held gun that they have, it's a quick second click. Your ear will turn red and it'll feel really hot, and you'll have the urge to play with it. It'll be tender for about a month or two, but the initial process itself isn't all that bad. Go for it, you wont regret it if you keep it clean.

Seriously, stubbing your toe hurts worse. Cramps hurt worse. There are a lot of things that hurt worse. If my 2 year old daughter could handle getting her ears pierced and only crying for a sec, trust me, you can. One hint... TELL yourself that it IS going to hurt ALOT. That way, when you get it done, the actual act will hurt nothing like what you had been psyching yourself up for.

PS: this is going to sound crazy, but get them pieced with a needle by a professional, instead of a gun. They will heal faster, and have less chance of infection. Thats how we had it done for our daughter and they were healed in days instead of weeks. The reason is, the gun forces a semi-sharp object thru your ear. A needle is more like getting a cut, and it heals better that way for some reason.

NOT TO LIE IT IS GOING TO HURT WHEN IT IS INITIALLY DONE BUT JUST FOR A SPLIT SECOND. FOR THE LOBE IT IS GOING TO TURN RED & GET HOT & MAY BE UNCOMFORTABLE FOR A FEW HRS IF YOU GET THEM DONE EARLY IN THE DAY YOU SHOULD EVEN BE ABLE TO SLEEP ON THEM BY THAT NIGHT. FOR THE CARTILAGE (MIDDLE TO TOP) IT TAKES A LITTLE LONGER FOR THE PAIN TO GO AWAY BUT I DON'T MEAN PAIN LIKE IT IS GOING TO BE SOMETHING YOU NOTICE ALL THE TIME JUST IF YOU BUMP IT & IT TOOK MY ABOUT 5-7 DAYS TO SLEEP ON THAT SIDE AFTER GETTING TOP DONE. SO EVEN THOUGH THERE IS SOME DISCOMFORT YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY GET IT DONE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT JUST MAKE SURE TO KEEP THEM TURNED AND CLEAN AND YOUR HAIR BACK SO IT DOESN'T GET WRAPPED AROUND IT B/C GETTING IT OFF CAN HURT. DON'T BE SO NERVOUS >>>>> GET IT DONE <<<<<<

I have my ears double pierced. You don't really feel anything. It just feels like someone pinches your ear, seriously. It doesn't hurt at all.
