As soon as affirmative action infected Kodak, their stock dropped to all time lows and continues to be at an all time low although minority employitie percentages are at an all time high. Is this a coincidence or is there some truth to affirmative action ruining this country?

What? That's ridiculous. Not at all. They depended on traditional film too long as their source of income, instead of embracing the disruptive technology of digital photography. They should have sought to aggressively exploit and capitalize on digital photography. Instead of being proactive and taking advantage, they were forced to react to the shift in technology.

I don't own Kodak stock, so I haven't done any research on their price history, but I can think of two major things that aren't racist that would cause their stock price to drop.

1. They lost their battle to Polaroid a couple of years ago and had to pay big bucks for copyright/patent infringements.

2. Digital cameras are taking over the photo industry. Back when everything was film, Kodak had the market nearly cornered. Now very few people use film anymore. Although Kodak does make digital cameras and printers, there are a lot more competitors in that field.

Not likely. I would likely blame the management before I blame the employees. Oh and they didn't embrace the digital camera technology as well as the other major players (i.e. Sony and Canon).

And if you are convinced that affirmative action was the problem then back it up with proof.
