I sell Avon so I know these fundraisers can earn $$$$. You can make anywhre from 20-50% depending on how much you sell and the representative you deal with. So ask around different reps.
Also you turn the order in and get it back within 4 days.
Hope this helps.

You could hold an auction at your school. Contact a local radio DJ to see if they would emcee the event. Most of the time they will bring out their crew and set up a trailer for publicitiy. Gives people something to do before the auction and the chance to be on the radio...
Ask local businesses to contribute to the auction. Carpet cleaning; car washes for a year; a pizza a month; groceries; flowers.......
Then ask your classmates to also donate: babysitting; car washes; lawn service; homework help; doesn't have to be a BIG committment, just maybe one or two times..
Then ask your teachers to also donate. Is there a "hot" single teacher? Perhaps you could auction off lunch with this teacher for any singles. Is there a local sports hero that someone knows? Autograph photos are usually a hot selling item....
THEN, call the local newspaper, mayor, and radio stations to see if they could help you publicize the event..\
For small things, you could run a silent auction that takes place before the live auction.
It's a lot of work to get everything together so get a committee right away and ask a teacher or two to help get you started...
They are a lot of fun and you can make some great money!
Good luck...

We did this once for a fundraiser.
1. Apply for lottery license (took only a few days to get)
2. Anyone who wanted to sell tickets had to bring in a gift certificate for $15 for someplace in town (grocery, gas, gift, restaurant...)
3. We made a basket with all of the gift cards and sold raffle tickets on it. Each student kept the proceeds form the tickets they sold. We sold a ton b/c people really liked the idea of the gift certificates (good prize) and it the cost was relatively small per person.

Bagging for tips at grocery stores is a good way to earn a lot of money fast.
Another thing you can do is collect old cell phones and printer cartridges and mail them in to the recycling company.
We do a food fundraiser that brings in about $4,000 each year.
Good luck.

Charity Dinner - fairly large task but huge payout plus if you hit up mainly local buisness they will be more apt to help 1 cuz you are a school, 2 the cause whatever it may be and 3 tax write off for them, especially early in the year before most business have exausted there funds that plan to dontate to charitable causes anyway. I did one and rasied 5 grand for the cause and still had almost 2 grand in admin cost that go back to you for future events
