I recently had a discussion with a class of mine about the construction of time. This was spurred on by the recent legislation that passed allowing daylight savings time to be moved a month ahead for 2007. On average, our bodies run on a 25 hour schedule, yet we use the 24 hour system (which is inconsistent) based upon the Earth's relative position with the sun. What I am proposing is this. Adopting a 28 hour day and a six day week. I believe that with 20 usable hours in the day and 8 hours alloted for sleep. I know that this would work for me, but I'm not so sure about everyone else in the world, so I thought I would ask. What do you think about having 28 hour days and 6 day weeks? Oh, by the way, this question does not take into account vitamin effeciencies of a 24 hour day.

Sorry about the incomplete sentence. What I meant was with twenty usable hours and eight hours for sleep I think people would be just fine.

Interesting motion. It sounds like it would work - in theory. ^_^; I suppose you'd need to do a lot more research first. -_-;
