Hi: I am an indian. I strongly feel that Shahid Afridi of Pakistan and M.S. Dhoni are the big hitters in the cricket at present. I feel it is fair to answer thios question based on facts. As per records, Shahid afridi of Pakistan has hit maximum sixes in one day internationals. he has hit 224 sixers from 237 matches.
M.S. Dhioni has got a record of 62 sioxers from 65 matches.
Shahid Afridi has got a better strike rate of 108.58 whereas Dhoni has got the strike rate of 98.49. Further shahid Afridi has hit 11 sixers in an innings as compared to 10 sixers of Dhoni.
Considering the above records, I consider shahid afridi of pakistan as the bnest hitter in cricket.

After watching the last Tri Series between Australia, England & New Zealand, I would have to say
Jacob Oram of NZ. He hit some of the biggest 6s I've seen in my life and I've been watching cricket for 40 years. He is going to be a sensation in the World Cup.
Hey and I'm from Australia so we aren't talking any national bias here!

1. Afridi (powerful but ball going too high and mostly caught)
2. Jayasuriya ( powerful flat and high sixes and work well often)
3. Dhoni (powerful high sixes and work well when the going doesn't get tough, not accurate under preassure due to lesser experience. Will be the biggest hitter in the future)
4. Symonds (powerful but seems to put lesser effort but the ball is going high and high to the stands)
5. Maharoof (powerful specially under preassure mostly after the 45th over)
I'm Sri Lankan
