First of all let me just say that if the married man truley loves his wife he will not ever cheat or even want to cheat on her in the first place. This type of man is selfish and only loves himself when he is doing this. He has no idea what real love even is.

I'm sure there are many different reasons. Yep, some guys just like sex and do it just because they can. I think a lot of times the reason is because they aren't getting what they need or want from their marriage. They may feel unloved, even though they love their wife, and they need to feel important to someone, so when they have an affair it's to make them feel better. Some aren't getting what they need sexually, so, when all else fails with their wife, they find it elsewhere. I don't think all cheaters are terrible, selfish, weak people. I think they're human. We all have needs, if we make our needs and desires known to our partners and they refuse to acknowledge them, doesn't that make them just as bad as the cheater? Both parties need to live up to their end of their commitment, and just being faithful sexually doesn't cut it.

It doesn't make sense, does it? I have not cheated, but I think the reason might be insecurity. I mean, after a few years of being married, a man does wonder if he still has the ability to attract the attention of other women. But I think you are more wondering about the final choice, the moment where they decide to take that leap and have the affair. It is one thing to want to look, or flirt, but what makes a man knowingly have an affair that he knows will hurt the woman he has promised himself to forever? I can only think it is because he is weak, unable to consider the consequences and unable to control his urges.

Here's a news flash for ya: Not all of us cheat! In fact, I'd bet that if you looked at the stats on cheating spouses, the number of males who cheat and the number of females who cheat would be pretty close together. I wouldn't be surprised if the number of women who cheat were actually a bit higher.

Cheating is not the problem, it is a symptom of a greater problem. A woman in this situation needs to do two things: find out what's really wrong with her marriage, read the Dr. Laura books.

cause they are dogs lol. seriously though.men/women who are married are in a long term relationship like to know they have something secure but they still want to fool around to get that excitment are just to get something they are missing from the relationship.they will rather go with someone new than just work on the problems at home..oh and LACK OF RESPECT!!

Because they are very selfish and self centered. Committing adultery is the single most selfish, hateful act one spouse can do against their other. A husband who is unfaithful to his wife shows that he has no respect for her or their marriage vows what so ever.

Not all of them do only some. There can be all sorts of reasons why they cheat including, some unfulfilled aspect of the marriage, stress, change of life or the fact that they are uncaring b**tards
