Not at all. Go to your local music store and you can probably get good strings for about 5 bucks.

Guitar strings are not that expensive at all. There are all sorts of strings out there these days. You can get a basic set of guitar strings for around 3 bucks, all the way up to 12 for an electric guitar. You never said if you need metal or nylon strings or if it's for a 6 string or 12.

Try looking here for strings. It's a good place to start.

no guitar strings arn't that expensive. i reccomend d'addario guitar strings they last long and they produce a good sound the cost of them is about $3 to $5 depnding on what store you buy from.

Not really... i personally like the Dean Markley Blue Steel strings.... they are about 7 bucks.... thay are good strings. ok well you can get cheaper stings for like 5 bucks.

depends where you are, what kind you want, what brand and you usually have to buy a whole set. if you're in englend you can expect to pay around £3-£10
