When you shave, make sure you are using enough soap, lather it up real good, and shave with the hair, and then against it, for a closer, smoother shave. When you finish, and dry off, apply a moisturizing lotion, followed by baby powder. I do this after I shave and I never have irritation/bumps/or itching, and it stays smoother longer. :)

First I would soak in a hot bathtube for about ten minutes to soften the hair. Then make sure you use a new razor and plenty of shaving cream. Avoid cream with scents or lots of chemicals because it can irritate the area. A good bet is Aveeno since it's made for sensitive skin. Shave downward with the hair. If you have to shave upward don't do it more than once or twice. The minimal amount of strokes you use the better, because you won't get as many ingrown hairs. When you are done wash the area with soap to clean the area and prevent bacteria from getting in any cuts you may have made. Pat dry and lather with a nice thick lotion. Be sure you maintain good hygiene and was the area every day. Also, it is best to wait a week before shaving again to minimize the irritation to the skin.

I think you should try cutting it very low with a scissors and then using the bikini har trimmers that they advertise on the TV but use it the first time in the direction the hair grows when you get everything you want off then try and use it against but really carefully. That way you do not put a razor blade directly onto your skin.
Also if waxing can work for youthen that is better as it leaves no stubble ang lasts longer.

If you have the money then invest in laser hair removal. I have tried it and it really does work. You can create a shape with the laser and get most of the hair off and then trim whatever the laser leaves behind. Even if you use the laser to thin out whatever hair you have then shaving is a breeze using a Bikini Hair trimmer like on TV. I tried everything: shaving that sucked, and waxing my skin was too sensitive. I got a lot of bumps and scars and hated wearing a bathing suit but now it is great and I have my confidence back. Just trying to help.

number 1 shaving isnt all that healthy but YES much cleaner. try shaving every 3 days or so, right before it gets to long. once hair gets to long thats when it starts to itch. use a loofa pad to clean down there, as with the rest of your body it will get rid of old skin and dirt, it will also reduce the amount f ingrown hairs. number 2 try using NAIR or hair thinning creams to reduce the thickness of the hair. number 3 WAXING is the number 1 best way ever to stay cleaner longer with no pain in regrowth. AND BTW why are you so worried at so young, it'n not necessary for any guy to shave down there. also the reason hair grown all over our body is to reduce the infection of the pores, shaving you are more likely to yeast infections or vaginal infections due to lack of hair. good luck and i hope you can figure this thing out !

You can wax and that is perfectly smooth. I just use soap and shave downward. I shave every other day or every third day. Also shave in the shower when you shave your legs. I understand your how you feel about it. When you get older you could even try the laser removal to get rid of it and keep it off.

Your skin will get used to it after a while and yes it's best to shave it at least every other day. I shave it right along with my legs which I do every other day as well, but you could do it every day, i just don't find that often to be necessary. I like to use a gel instead of a foam, and I prefer disposable razors over anything, so I get a fresh blade everytime, and I like to sprinkle baby powder on it immediately after drying.

the best way not to be itchy is to shave it not too hard..i mean to leave the hair short and not too smooth so it don't become itchy also you can shave with both directions but it may iritate your skin and it may become red but this will happen only the 1st or the 2nd time then you will get used to it but in this case you will have to shave it everyday..
a final tip,try to wet the skin with warm water before shaving..

don't shave the whole thing, just shave the sides and leave the middle there. trim the middle with scissors, keeps down on the mess if you know what i mean. also as someone said, shave down not up and if you do a quick shave everytime you are inthe shower, the itchiness stops
