Yes, I do!
They make sure only the people who should be there are the ones getting into the school. That way no one who is intent on shooting up the school are not there. A person at the door should be there too so they will catch any one who should not be there.

the reason anyone would suggest that students or teachers or anyone that works at a school should wear a security badge is that the schools are built completely wrong.
around 1965 to 1978 schools became aware that computers were going to be needed and used in the future so they started to train students to use computers. the use of computers at that time required one entire room for just one computer tower . the cost of such a machine was enourmous. this is why central schools were built.
we now have small computers that are capable of far more then the early computers and the space and cost needed is greatly lessend from that of the past.
since space and cost are not factors anymore we can now return to local schools . in a local school that is one in each village or one in each neihbourhood. the solution is simple return to local schools that way every student would know by sight every other student and every teacher would know all the others in the building by sight. no need for a badge then. any new person in the building or on the property would stand out .
this return to senisble size schools would allow for a natural system to correct criminal behaviour on the part of any one of the students. a parent would know right off who his kids hang around with and teachers are far more likely to be involved in the community aside from school so they would be much more likely to know the parents and feel comforable talking to them about any slight problem with there child.
so srew the badges tear down the monster schools and build communities live as we were ment to live not as robots who wear badges because we are in such a mass no one can know all of us.
i hope this gets the best answer because i know it is the best answer since it is the right answer.

I think students should not wear security badges because sometimes you will lose the badge. The badge might also get stolen. It also depends on what kind of school it is. If it a low crime, then there shouldn't be any badges. But if there is high crime rate, then you might want to have the security badges.
