If it the first time she's started this birth control pill, it takes one week to be effective. While most women do not get pregnant during their periods, you need to use backup protection until she has been on the pill longer!

You should be fine. The chances of conceiving while a lady is on her period is pretty low, due to the lining of the uterus breaking down. This makes it almost impossible for an egg to fertilize because there's nothing to protect it. Also, if you pulled out AND your girl is on the pill then you're pretty much covered.

your probably ok, but what is worrying about it going to accomplish, if your not ready to accept it if that happens Id suggest wearing a condom, or not doing it, and actually you would be safer if she got on a shot called depoprevara, it is once every 3 months and very reliable, because she cant forget to take it. also on the plus side for both of you she wont have a period while on the shot, so no bloody sex, unless you like that :)

Nothing short of a hysterectomy is 100% effective in birth control. There's a slim chance she could get pregnant, but, it's very slim.

maybe the 2 of you shouldnt be having sex yet.
i dont know how old you are but you really should get more information about all forms of birthcontrol and protective measures before something happens that neither of you is mature enough to handle at this time.
