If the pop-up windows say "Windows Messaging" at the top, you have fallen foul of spy and ad-ware (called mal-ware). You need a good AV program (ZoneAlarm, McAfee, Norton etc.), also a spy-ware remover (SpyBot is good and it's free!) and an ad-ware remover (Ad-Aware is pretty good).

Once you have cleaned your PC, make sure you are surfing behind a firewall (most of the AV suites have a firewall built-in). It won't stop everything, but at least you'll be warned when your PC is invaded by mal-ware and you'll be given an option to do something about it.

Good luck

Definately spyware. Can be tricky to get rid of. If feasible, backup your computer and reinstall everything. Otherwise, backup your computer and try the seemingly endless barrage of anti-spyware products. Don't ever load or run something without checking it out first. If you're getting a popup for a anti-spyware product, it's likely a spyware itself. Start with Spybot Search & Destroy. My recommendation is to reinstall everything - you won't regret it. (after that stay away from questionable materials and sites)

Get a pop-up blocker, which you can recieve free, through Windows, or Yahoo, has a fairly good one also. Try the AVG Spyware program, and AVG Anti-Virus, they are both free, and its a great program. I use them my self.

Enjoy your nite,

It's probably spyware. Take a look at this list:

This IS free, and it's also good because you possibly have tons of spyware on your harddrive taking-up memory space.

Try using AVG or ZoneAlarm - both have free versions!

I would image its spy-ware - unless you have BearShare isntalled with the Zango componetn!
