i would say edgar sosa from louisville. they are 8-4 in conference play thru feb. 15th and a big reason is because of sosa. he is the second leading scorer on that team at 10 points per game and i've seen him play and his defense is pretty amazing. he makes that zone defense click the way it does.

I looked at the Big East conference and two players popped out right away. First, Aaron Gray of Pittsburgh has really shown his maturity in carrying his team as far as he has. Second, Edgar Sosa of Louisville has helped his team immensly. Without him, Louisville wouldn't be as good as they would be. Between these two players, it is a very hard choice, but I would go with Aaron Gray, he's given the most effort.

Besides the fact Aaron Gray is not a freshman, I am a Seton Hall fan and would vote for our point guard, Eugene Harvey.
