My periods started on 02/15.When is the best time to have intercourse in order to be pregnant?

My mentrual cycle has been 26 days but this month it was 28 days.My periods started today-02/15 so when is the best time to have intercourse so that I can become pregnant? especially if I want a baby girl.

Have intercourse each and every time, whenever you can. Except when you are down. Come on. Relax. Sex is enjoyable; relaxing. If you keep concentrating on how to get a baby, then the stress confuses you. A relaxed and enjoyed sex is the way. So cool it. Don't calculate. Be hot in bed and you will conceive in the shortest time possible. As far as having a boy or a girl, many will give you different permutations and combinations, but these are all hypothetical because whether your child is a boy or girl is determined by God who has allowed that only one or two or so of one million sperms will gain entrance to your ova during sexual intercourse. So relax and enjoy your sex. Not one child, but children will follow and then you will wonder why you indulged in sex at all. . . Just joking. I have 4 children.

I'm not sure about how to get the gender you want, but if your cycle is 26-28 days long, you should count backwards 14 days from the last day of your cycle (28-14=14), so day 12 or 14 of your next cycle if you're stereotypical. We usually do every other day for 8 days putting that time in the middle. It worked the first time! I would start at day 9 and go every other day until day 17. That should have your ovulation covered, even with a little bit of irregularity in your cycle. Good luck!

My periods are not very regular but I went by 28 day cycle. I had my period June 23 2006. I am pretty sure I got pregnant on July 6th. So I wold try if I were you on the 27th and the 28th. Not before. It is better to let the sperm build up. I am pregnant now in my 35th week. They say 11 to 14 days after your period is when you ovulate. This was the first month we desided to start trying and it worked.

If your periods started on 15th Feb, you are most likely to release your next eggs on 28th February. Life period of eggs is 1-2 days. Sperms can survive 2-3 days. Hence the best period for you to have sex in order to conceive is 26 Feb to 2 March. Add 1 day prefix and suffix - and it becomes 25 Feb to 03 March.

But since your cycle is sometimes 26 days and sometimes 28 days, the exact date of your next ovulation is difficult to ascertain. Hence follow this practical advice :

During ovulation body temperature increases by about 1 degree and ther is lots of lubrication (juice) inside your love-canal (vagina). Hence around 25th February take note of your body temperature, and also with your fingers feel the inside of your vagina - see if it is more moist, juicy and smooth than usual. I know many cases where this practice has helped. But such procedure does not have medical-science backing. It has also been found that sex during or just before ovulation helps produce boys, while sex much earlier, say 3 days prior to ovulation has a better probability of producing girls.

But these are all probabilities......... You never know when an egg and a sperm get blasted together, whether the result will be XX or XY or XXY or XYY !!!

(in ancient Indian scriptures and treatises some interesting prescriptions have been given to beget babies with sex of your choice........ But modern scientific mind will laugh at those prescriptions. Modern science cannot understand all those things)

My advice : If you want a baby, pl do not bother wheter it's a boy or girl. How does it matter ? Pray to God that your coming child be healthy and intelligent. In order to ensure that you get a healthy baby, eat good food (green vegetable), avoid cold-drinks and artificial food, take regular light exercise during the entire pregnancy period......... and take sun-bath (15 minutes of morning sun.....when the sun is pink or orange)
