It is a FreeWare program that allows you to customize basic Mac OS X functions beyond what the regular software allows.
If you simply want to manage your widgets - they can be individually added and deleted, also:

Open the dashboard, click the plus and it will turn into an x. Next to the x there is a manage widgets button. Click on that and uncheck the ones you don't want.
