I would say at least 50% of the world drink alcohol after a hard days work. A drink is like a fresh breath of air after you come from a hard day's work. Why does the world always mistake the word 'drink' for 'drunk'. The distance between the wovels 'i' and 'u' is far sufficient to understand.

I agree. Having an occassional drink after work is not being a drunk. Actually having 1 glass of red wine a day is good for your heart.

I hate how so many people do this. For me one drink actually does mean i am drunk, because i am a big light-weight, or "cheap-date" (joke), but i think in reality most people actually drink, and the first drink can be very relaxing. And everytime you drink you don't have to get drunk. I will drink a beer over an hour, but i know if i drink a beer in about 5 minutes i will be drunk.

Your right but so long as the after effects of drink does not affect the public. The crime and law enforcement comes into play .
If prohibition is in force, it does not permit alcohol consumption and driving a vehicle under the influence of liquor. And if the test for alcohol is positive, the offence is punishable with fine ,imprisonment and cancellation of driving licence in some foreign countries.

Alcohol consumption in moderation is found to be good for health but the limit is not to be crossed ,if the benefit is to be derived out of alcohol.

The two most important things in alcohol consumption are:
1) Financial capacity to allocate the money for drinks
2)Knowing one’s limit to stop consuming drinks( to be free from biological, social and financial problems)after a peg or two.
3) Biological capacity to absorb the drinks consumed.
4) Family background to permit alcohol consumption at home ,instead of running mad after spurious stuff at exorbitant prices.
5)Ability to keep balanced after a limited drink and do not take up driving under the influence of liquor in the public.

Fifty percent? of road accidents are caused by drunken drivers resulting in loss of lives and properties.
(I heard a recent news about an accident in PERU caused by drunken driving ,resulting in the loss of eighteen lives)

Drink after a hard days work ,for party or for pleasure are acceptable provided the limits are not crossed ,endangering both the parties concerned ,the person and the public .
