The Worst player in baseball has to go to Josh Towers of the Toronto Blue Jays... who in 20 some-odd starts had an ERA of just over 9

Carlos Silva...70 strikeouts in 180 innings and 246 hits allowed. His 5.94 era is terrible and his 11-15 record on a 96 win team is ridiculous.

I would have to say nobody is the worst player in MLB. People don't consider what they have to go through to get to that level. For me, I'd say it would be anyone not willing to give 110% on the field.
Performance enhancing drugs are not a criteria because a certain Giants outfielder never tested positive for steroids by a MLB or independently administered test. All you so called "fans" or geniuses must produce proof before saying anything.
Go A's, Go Giants!!!!!

Doug Mientkiewicz, hands down. A firstbaseman with NO power. I can't believe clubs continue to give a roster spot on a late inning defensive replacement firstbaseman! He sucks!

As I agree with the fact that there is no such thing as the worst player when you reach this level, I will say you cannot give 110%, as 100% is maximum capacity, and you cannot give more than humanly possible.
And I agree that Bond and Giambi should be suspended for life. Roid ragers!

Objectively that is very difficult and that player probably spends most of his time in the minors. On a per dollar basis, it would have to be A-Rod. Even the Yankee fans would think so.
