I love fantasy books. I read Inkheart, Inkspell, Dragon Rider, The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke. I have read Harry Potters books, the Inheritance Trilogy, Ranger's Apprentice series, Septimus Heap series, the Bartimaeus Trilogy. I don't really know what to read next. Any suggestion?

A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin. Very well written. There's a paperback version that's available for $3.99. Most people say it's one of the best fantasies ever. I'm currently reading the sword of truth series by Terry Goodkind. The first two books were really good, but rest are not so great.

Try David Edding's Belgariad series and the Anne McCaffrey dragonriders of Pern (esp Dragonsong and Dragonsinger) - Christopher Paolini obviously grew up on these books!

RA Salvatore (esp if you are a teenaged boy)
Mercedes Lackey (start with Arrows of the Queen)
Douglas Adams
Warriors series by Erin Hunter
guardians of ga'hoole series by Kathryn Lasky
Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman
The Dark is Rising by Susan Cooper

Sea Dragon Heir and The Crown of Silence by Storm Constantine are good...a tiny bit weird but good. I also love anything by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman.
