That's quite balmy actually. I've family in Canada who would like such warm weather.

Too, you might consider some town in Alaska, Greenland, the Netherlands or other places further north.

There are many places much colder than Boston. BTW -- I don't think it quite hit -18 in Boston during the day (Unless you're measuring in Celcius) ... I live just North of there, and it isn't near that cold ... Perhaps a -18 Wind chill, but that's it).

Anyway, there are lots colder places around. Just drive north a couple of hours.

The 1st Marines in fought their way back from the Chosen Reservoir in Korea in 70 below weather. 18 below zero is not that cold. Korean weather will exceed that just about all winter long as will northern Japan, Alaska, Siberia and a lot of other places. Eat more Bahston beans and let the resulting flatulence keep you warm.

Oh, it might possibly be a bit cooler in Murmansk, Russia, up above the Arctic Circle. Sorry you're cold. Minus 18 is pretty common where I live.

Yesterday it was -38 outside. I expect that trumps your Boston weather.

Cities in the north central part of large continents (away from large bodies of water) get the coldest. Moscow for one.

In Wisconsin we were ice fishing a few weeks ago and the wind chill was -30 degrees. Our beer was slush in the bottles (they were in our hands!!)
