I don't think that Rooney & C.Ronaldo can be voted the best players of all time? Most talented, maybe, but Leo Messi & Fabregas are both better. Also Lampard is terrible.(just to get that out of the way)
Zidane is a good choice :)
Onto my choice, he wasn't the most internationally capped player ever, neither did he have amazing skill, but instead he was Loyal and determined. I'd say my favourite player is Tony Adams. He played for Arsenal for 18 years in which he appeared 504 times and scored 34 goals. He made his debut at the age of 17 and later became Arsenal's captain from the age of 21 until he retired. I know not may people would agree with me, but he was one of the greatest ever defenders and got 66 caps with England and scored 5 goals. He also overcame being an alcoholic to continue playing. In a time when Arsenal are being criticized for having no English players, i look back to the times of Seaman, Dixon, Adams, Keown & Winterburn of the early 90s. The best domestic back 5 ever!
I should also mention Maldini as well, cos he is another amazing defender :)

My favorite player from the World Cup 2006 is Cristiano Ronaldo, maybe because of his age...he played with losts of enthusiasm!
I support Portugal because of the same reason, they played with noticeable passion! That's why I liked the team!

Edson Arantes do Nascimento, must known Pelé, for the people we had the privilege to see him play, he was a master and a gentlemen in the field. He could use both legs to shoot and he can give you a pass that was 50% goal.
