Considering that she's the main character and the show is named after her, I'd say no.

Yes, I think Meredith died and she's not coming back to life. True, the show is called Grey's Anatomy and she is Dr. Grey and a main character, but throughout the show she's been doing the all-knowing voice-overs. There's another ABC show that has an all-knowing voice-over by a ghost: Desparate Housewives. The formula has been proven to work for ABC.
I think Meredith will stay on but she will be the ghost who inhabits the hospital and continues to narrate the story. The writers may have planned it that way since Day 1.

A show where all the doctors are doing each other as opposed to, you know, working - jumped the shark from day 1. HOWEVER, no matter how they spin this, the show circled the globe and JUMPED AGAIN. Because short of Superman spinning the Earth backwards on its axis to reverse time and make us all forget last week's episode, there's no way [the writers] can bring Meredith back from the dead without looking like complete fools. In the words of myself, "Who writes this crap?!"

I doubt that Ellen Pompeo is getting kicked off the show anytime soon. And I don't think she's going to take a more minor role as a ghostly voiceover (a la Desperate Housewives). It could all be a dream or a hallucination -- her life flashing before her eyes, in a way.

I really hope she isn't. I don't think they would kill off the main character. After all, it is GREY'S Anatomy. She narrates the story...I don't think they can kill her off without ending the show (which I don't see any reason for that because it's a hugely popular show..)

This is what is going to happen, I'm SURE of it.
Meredith IS dead, but only temporarily. She is going to be dead for the episode, talking to dead people such as Denny, etc.. At the end of the episode, she is going to be brought back to life. She will have "messages" for Izzy from Denny.
That is my prediction! I think probably her mother dies though, permanently.

Yes she is dead. No they won't kill her off
They will kill her mother however and she will tell Meredith to back and be special.

it just came onand 22 min into it she's still in the water being thats its called "greys" anatomy they can't kill off meredith "grey". McDreamy's gonna save her he has to or else dang it.

I am on the edge of my seat here!! I know for a fact that someone is going to die on tonight's show. Who else could it be? I read that this person's death is not expected at all!!! I can't hardly wait!!!!!!!!!

They wouldn't kill her. The show's named for her, to kill her would pretty much end the show.
