There are many sites you can go on to adopt a polar bear, especially now with global warming! These beautiful animals are going to be extinct (if they already aren't) and need all the help they can get. Sites are begging for people to help in anyway you can. Go to animal rescue.com or Care 2.com, or World Wildlife and they would be happy to help you decide what is best for you.
No, you don't get to have it stay at your house. It will actually stay in its own habitat and that is what it really wants and needs. I think that it's great that you are wanting to help preserve the polar bears! If you decide to adopt, and by that you would pay a certain amount each month, they would send you a photo of "your" polar bear and tell you of it's progress. Check those sites out. They are very helpful and would be more than willing to explain more in detail to you. You can also make a "click" and each click generates money to help these animals. This isn't like the chain letters you receive where poor little Amy got her brains beat out and she has some incurable disease and will die if you don't pass her message along. Those are phony. The sites I gave you are not. You will actually help save a polar bear from extinction!

you can adopt a polar bear by sending money to a foundation for polar beaers, but that is about the only way you could adopt one.
By adopting a polar bear for yourself or for someone you care about, you are helping WWF safeguard the polar bear's Arctic home, understand and reverse the deadly effects of climate change on polar bears and work toward eliminating toxic pollutants in the Far North.
Adopt A Polar Bear Now.

Try adopting one at a zoo with polar bears. You give money to help pay for the expenses of taking of the bear. And usually, the zoo will give you some perks and acknowledgement.

I'm sure your talking about "sponsoring" a polar bear.Try your local zoo, they will have all the information for that.
If that's not what you were looking for,you could go to the north pole and see if the polar bears there would like to adopt you. lol

Interesting...Polar Bears are interesting and cute until about 9 months. Then they big enough to kill a full grown human. Very big and very temperamental creatures. Donate to wildlife conservation areas that provide the habitat for these beautiful creatures. Look up the U.S. Government website, under fish and wildlife. They may be able to help you. Or go to the WWF website and see what you can do. They won't be around much longer if things continue to go in its current direction. Go to Steve Irwin's website "Wildlife warriors." That may be an option.

It means that you get to financially sponsor one that is in captivity at a zoo or animal hospital. They will probably send you pictures and write to you about how the bear that you are sponsoring is getting on.

I believe they are endangered which means you cannot adopt one. They must be left in their natural habitat.
