Serious answers only, please no government bashing. I heard on an unknown radio station that the U.S Government currently was trying to pass a bill that would postpone the 2008 presidential elections because of an "immediate and current threat to the United States" if you have heard this to let me know I am looking for empirical evidence so please cite sources if you know of any that can help.

Do you really think that this Congress is going to pass any bill that would keep President Bush in the White House one second longer than legally required?

Probably George Bush saying he will stay on another 4 just to get the country through the reign on terror period, of course he would work for nothing, his kick back from Big Oil is triple what the job as President pays anyways. Seriously this is the first I have heard of this and it makes no sense whatever. Some radio stations do anything to get news.

No, i do no longer think of so. once you think of related to the truthfully style of actual threats directed in direction of US soil, they are very narrow certainly. incredibly the only human beings in possibility are those in another united states of america, or perhaps then maximum are risk-free (different than for squaddies, of direction). Now upload each and all of the protection that's wrapped around each and each skill runner, and that they are quite lots risk-free. As for the "dividing the White homestead for the time of a war" bit, without understanding whilst the war is going to end (via fact it actually does not look like it is going to be any time quickly) it does not quite come into play the way it did in WWII as quickly as we knew the war would in trouble-free terms final a pair greater years.

There probably is , but the republicans have managed to keep it under wraps. W is not a Quitter, He didn't let getting fewer votes stop him from winning the 2000 election. He didn't let 4 years of proven incompetence stop him from winning the 2004 election either.( the exit polls said he lost) If he has to postpone the 2008 elections to stay in office, he will figure out a way to do it.

No, and I read several blogs daily. If a President tried to pull that crap, there would be rioting in the streets of America. And a President like Bush who thinks he's an emperor anyway, would never bother to ask Congress.

No. In actuality I don't believe you "heard" it anywhere [unless it was in your head].

Think for heavens sakes before you ask questions. FDR in the middle of the biggest war this nation ever saw had to run for president.

I have heard of no such bill. And believe me, if there was such a bill it would be all over the news.

Bush will do it by classified Executive Order.

He doesn't believe in democracy, so why would he have Congress do it.
