are they as concerned about how "handsome" they are you think as women are concerned about how "beautiful" they are?
why are men not suppose to care as much?
why do many act like they dont care as much?

They care as much but in different ways. A girl with pimples will wash her face 7 times a day and spend a small fortune on skin products. A guy with pimples will just put up with it. He'll be just as upset but won't change his habits. Why they don't do something, I don't know.
The exception to the rule is metrosexuals. They will primp and worry about every little detail. Other guys treat them like they are gay. Girls tend to be annoyed by them.

Yes they are!!
But men express it in different ways.
The typical woman is worried about her weight, her clothes and her hair.
The typical guy is worried about his muscles and his hair (if he still has it).
Think about how many men you see at gyms killing themselves for that wide shoulder V look. How many men are at GNC buying all the supplements to make themselves leaner and meaner.
Look how many different treatments there are in this world for male pattern baldness!!! They wouldn't sell it if there wasn't a huge demand for it...
Of course men are just as worried about their looks as women, it's just expressed differently.
Vanity is a vice shared by both sexes.

Most men comb their hair several times per day and some can't look in the mirror enough. Vanity is fair in both sexes!

for metrosexual men, they're as same as women in terms of fashion-counscious and care as much as women about their attractiveness ~
be a metrosexual man then you'll find that grass is always greener in the other side!

I think it's more a generation difference more then anything else. I notice a LARGE difference in this (as well as personality and perspective) between men of my parent's generation and men of mine...
